Since establishment in 1905 as a woodworking machinery trading company, Fukumoto Incorporated has come a very long way. In the early years, domestic Japanese woodworking machine producers were nearly non-existent, and the country faced a painful shortage of saws and cutting tools. Fukumoto responded to this situation by becoming a dealer of cutting tools and parts. In the years since we have seen two world wars and momentous political and economic upheaval, yet Fukumoto has continued to thrive due to a unique ability to adapt and remain flexible in response to societal and economic change. The company first began the export of Japanese-made machines to Korea in 1970, subsequently achieving impressive sales results throughout South East Asia as well. In 1990 Fukumoto began importing high quality woodworking machinery from Europe for the Japanese domestic market, and is proud to state today that its current list of clients, including international customers, continues to expand steadily in scope and scale.
The Fukumoto company mission is threefold: to provide the latest industry information to its clients in the shortest possible time, provide exceptional quality in cost cutting productions systems, and offer excellent after-sale service and support for all machinery products sold. The key to making this mission a reality is top level human resources. The management at Fukumoto places the utmost importance on employee education and practical training, holding in-house training sessions at regular intervals as well as regularly dispatching staff to various locations for on-site training.
